works good if you like to pour out last one half inch of coffee. Unless you like sludge in your coffee do not buy this. With either home ground or coarse ground store bought there is a layer of sediment on bottom of carafe.
Nice Product and a lot of bang for its buck. The filter is gentle yet strong, doesn't smell or anything, looks good, comes with its own handle and very easy to clean. We've been using this filter in our Mr. Coffee ECM21 combination espresso n' coffee machine and have had no problems whatsoever in all this time.
Plastic trim probably doesn't improve taste of coffee, but I haven't seen any alternative. Nice substitution for paper filters.
Other than that, it does what it's supposed to do for decent enough price at $10. It doesn't sit quite right with my coffee maker. I think this filter is mainly for machines made by Mr. Coffee.
